Nine Years

I can't believe it's been nine years since Nate and I got married.  What a wonderful nine years it has been.  The Lord has blessed us so much!  It's hard to believe that in just nine short years we are on the brink of adding a fourth child to our family. Crazy!

This morning Nate found different songs from our wedding to play for the kids.  You already know that Nate and I are kinda weird, so it's no surprise we had weird songs for our wedding.  The kids' favorite was 500 miles by the Proclaimers.  Head on over to his blog to hear it for yourself.

I tried to find the song that Nate and I danced to, but it wasn't on YouTube.  It's Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise - You and Me.  Love that song!  I got the CD out this morning and played it for the kids.  Here is the song my dad and I danced to.



So much fun to look back all these years later.  Maybe we will pull out our wedding video to watch tonight!

Nathan, thank you for being my knight in shining armor and walking with me through a life I never thought was possible!  I look forward to what is in store for us over the next nine years!  I love you!

Over a Year

I just realized that I made it past the year mark for this blog. Wow, quite an accomplishment for me. I like to start things, but finishing is not always my strength. I have enjoyed documenting our humble, little circle of living and have truly appreciated those of you who have cared enough to follow along. You faithful readers keep me motivated to get back on the computer every so often and post a few more happenings of our life. I hope you continue to find something here that you enjoy. Keep coming back, for there are bound to be at least a few crazy and ridiculous things happening around here from time to time.

While I have your attention, are there any things you would like to see new on my blog? Any particular topics? Any questions you may want to ask? Make your requests known and I will see what I can do.

8 Years Ago Today...

....I was walking down the aisle.


Nathan and I sealed our vows with a kiss.


We had lots of friends and family in our wedding party.


We had "hugs and kisses" on our cake. We never got to eat a whole piece of cake because the wait staff cleared our table before we were finished with the photographer:( My mom kindly ordered a tiny wedding cake from the same bakery for our one year anniversary. It was yummy!


We still have these champagne flutes. I try to get them out a few times a year for special occasions.


Nathan's brother, Jeremy, had everyone cracking up during the toast.


My great aunt let me borrow a fur shawl that has been in the family for quite some time.


By the end of the night, my hose were ripped and Nathan and I were exhausted!

Nathan, I have enjoyed the past 8 years beyond belief! It's hard to imagine all the fun and craziness that is in store for us over the next 8, 20, and even 50 years. I love you and I am so thankful you chose me!
