Could Be the Last... or Not
This past Sunday as the kids were brushing their teeth before church, it dawned on me that this could be the last time we are getting ready for church with just three kids. I thought of how easy it was. Layla and Julius dressed themselves and Nate got Gunnar changed. The next time we go to church we might be juggling the newness of a nursing infant.....or not. I might still be pregnant this Sunday. Only time will tell!

Called to Church
As I was cleaning up after lunch today, Layla came into the kitchen to inform me that I needed to come to church. She said she would be serving both the "body and the blood" and I needed to come take communion. After I was done cleaning, I headed to my "pew" where I was informed that I had three babies that I brought to church with me. They were already waiting for me on the couch. Layla served communion while Julius lead us in worship. We sang "I'm in the Lord's Army." Gunnar even hurried over to make sure he could take communion, too. It was not only fun, but precious, and I wanted to make sure I documented it so that I will never forget it.

A Generation Later
If you look closely you can see the egg on Julius' forehead. After the church potluck yesterday, he was racing a tractor around the church basement and crashed right into a coat rack, snapping a hard plastic piece from off the bottom. His nose bled some, but his hard head apparently took most of the blow. After a few minutes of crying, he was back to playing. It was a good lesson to watch where you are going!
I have more pictures from the month of September to post, so hopefully I will get around to it this week.
