Julius...

....were you scribbling on your teeth with a pencil?  Yes.  Good thing a bit of toothpaste and a little scrubbing got it all off.  Please don't do that again!

Sleeping Wherever

Gunnar fell asleep the other day when I was cooking.  After a bit he woke up crying and had red marks on his face from laying on the floor.  I got him the lamb chair and he went right back to sleep for another hour.  He must have been a tired boy to sleep through all the commotion of the day right on the dining room floor!

Gross!

So tonight during family Bible time, Julius picked his nose and out came a booger.  Nate told him that "wasn't smart" and to hold onto it until he was done reading the passage.  Towards the end of the passage of scripture Julius was messing with his nose again and I heard Nate ask "did you just put that back in your nose?"  Julius nodded and smiled, all proud of himself.  Nate and I started laughing so hard it took us a bit to regain our composure and move onto the rest of our family worship.  What a goof ball!  Well, he gave us all a good laugh!

Junkyard

The kids wanted me to see their "junkyard" they created.  If only all junkyards looked this good!  I don't even know how they know what a junkyard is:)

Family Portraits

Julius was kind enough to draw Nate and I.  Nate is on the left and I am on the right.  Julius said that Nate's belly is full of food.  I wondered for a minute if I had bats or butterflies in my belly, but Julius informed me that those were his, Layla and Gunnar's hands on my belly feeling the new baby.  As odd as these pictures are, I find it even funnier that I have no hair and Nate has a lot, considering it is the opposite in real life!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day

Sorry this is late, but Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!  We were out of town the past two days because a family friend passed away this weekend.  She was 92 years-old, so not too much to be sad about.  She lived a long and wonderful life and now she is with her Lord and Savior.

Layla was very cute about the whole thing.  As we were packing on Sunday she said, " I don't want to go to Marge's funeral."  I told her that most people don't want to go to funerals, but we do it to show care and respect for the family that has experienced the loss.  Last night as we returned home, Layla said that she was bummed we didn't have a huge Valentine's Day party.  She said instead we went to a funeral and had a small party.  The party was really just family getting together for dinner.  She said she really needed to celebrate another holiday that involved hearts.  I told her that maybe for our wedding anniversary later this month we could celebrate with hearts.  She seemed content with that.  I also told her it is rare to have to attend funerals on Valentine's Day.  That girl always makes me laugh!

Future Plans

Today at lunch, Layla and Julius had a conversation about what businesses they would own when they are adults.  I think Layla's was a cupcake company and Julius' was a restaurant.  They then agreed to faithfully bring meals to each other on days that they were closed for business.  How cute is that!

Early Potty Training?

I heard Gunnar exclaim he was poopy and I turned around and found him like this.  Maybe he will potty train early?  Too bad he wasn't telling the truth! :)

Stuck

Julius had to be rescued the other night after putting this bucket on his head and sticking his arms through the handle.  Of course, Nate and I had a good laugh and took a picture before helping him maneuver out of this awkward predicament.  You would think that after one time, he wouldn't do it again, but low and behold he did.  Once again, we enjoyed a few laughs before wiggling him out of the bucket.  Come on, Julius!  Let's not repeat this one a third time!

Stand together please

The kids wore their new outfits Sunday from my aunt and uncle and I wanted to get a picture of the kids for them to see.  Let's just say I couldn't get the perfect shot, but at least they will be able to see the cute outfits.  Gunnar really didn't want to pose for the pictures.

What's This?

I came into the living room the other day to find this.  Layla and Julius reading in train formation and a very tired Gunnar playing with Julius' hair.  Weird.

Sit Down!

So this is what Gunnar did the other morning.  He grabbed my Bible and put it on the couch, grabbed his things, too(Goodnight Moon and sippy cup) and told me several times to "Sit Down."  You're right, buddy!  Mommy definitely needs to sit down and read her Bible.  Great idea!  Thanks for reminding me!
