This is Layla's first drawing of cars. I thought it was pretty good! She was frustrated because she couldn't make the yellow lines on top of the black pavement.
Layla came to me with this picture. My reaction, and subsequent laughter made her cry out of embarrassment. We had a nice discussion about being very careful about what you write because you never know who will read it, what effect it could have on others' feelings and how it might make others view you. I think she got the point. The next day she redeemed herself with this.
And then my favorite. A portrait of our family. Layla is the tallest on the left. I really do believe that she thinks she is the "biggest" of the family sometimes!
